Standard Compounds
With 16 different compounds all with unique properties. Star manufacturing industries is able to manufacture products using a variety of materials ranging from Nitrile to Chloroprene
The Secret is in the compound...
Over the years rubber components have become more and more popular, with a large assortment of different compounds all with different properties. Star manufacturing industries is not only able to manufacture in the standard compounds, we are also able to tailor make compounds to meet your specification.
Rubber Compression Moulding
The compression moulding process consists of a piece of uncured rubber placed between two halves of a heated mould. This mould is then closed in a specially designed press which produces around 14MPa worth of pressure. The uncured rubber is then forced into the exact shape of the mould. The curing process is achieved by gaining heat from the two moulds by conduction. After sufficient time the moulds are opened and the cured part is removed. The compression moulding process is relatively simple and commonly used for small quantity production.
Rubber Injection Moulding
Like the name suggest this processes is created by the injection of rubber into as mould. The mould is heated and the compound is injected into this. This method is commonly used to produce high-precision parts in moderate quantities, without high tooling costs.
Plastic moulding is the process of shaping plastic using a rigid frame or mould. The technique allows for the creation of objects of all shapes and sizes with huge design flexibility for both simple and highly complex designs. A popular manufacturing option, plastic moulding techniques are responsible for many car parts, containers, signs and other
Plastic Moulding Techniques
The underlying concept of plastic moulding is placing liquid polymer into a hollow mould so that the polymer can take its shape, often with various ranges of pressure and heat required. There are different plastic moulding techniques available to accomplish this including rotational moulding, injection moulding, blow moulding, and compression moulding to name just a few. Each technique has its benefits and is best suited for the creation of specific items.
